The Wedding Industry Awards

Hosting weddings and special occasions is what we love! We have an absolute passion for hospitality and events, and it’s always a huge pleasure to welcome all guests to our beautiful Devon wedding venue.

We recently had the amazing opportunity to host the Wedding Industry Awards. Top event professionals from across the south west came together for a prestigious awards ceremony at Rockbeare Manor.

As we are based just outside Exeter, and only five minutes from the M5 the location was perfect for our guests who were travelling from all over Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

Our venue played host to 175 guests on the night. These awards recognise the fantastic wedding suppliers throughout the UK and is the only regional and national client voted event in the wedding industry. The calibre of the finalists was of a very high standard (including both our sister venues, Priston Mill near Bath, and Coombe Lodge near Bristol), and it confirmed how lucky we are in this region to see such talented businesses that help make people’s wedding day perfect in every way.

Guests tucked in to canapés such as goat’s cheese mousse, pickled apple and candied walnuts along with blackened mackerel with chive and yoghurt on sourdough, all created by Rockbeare Manor’s own team, led by Head Chef Ben Upton. These were served alongside gin and tonic cocktails and plenty of Prosecco!

The highlight for us was seeing one of our sister venues, Coombe Lodge (near Bristol) come Highly Commended in the category of Best Countryside Venue, an accolade which they whole heartedly deserve.

As our own Director, Aimée Spencer said:

‘It has been a real honour to host the Wedding Industry Awards this year, and to welcome so many industry professionals to our venue, of which we are very proud. The evening was a huge success with a fantastic atmosphere throughout.’
