For every wedding that takes place at Rockbeare Manor, there is not only a team of event experts working behind the scenes to make sure that everything is organised to perfection, but on the day, you will have your own dedicated Event Manager there with you, to make sure that the whole day runs like a dream.
So, what does your Event Manager do on the wedding day? In this blog we are going to talk about just that!
And so it seems only fitting that we introduce you to our Event's Team - a troop of Industry Pro's who will go above and beyond to make sure that any wedding or event is planned to perfection, seamlessly delivered, with an abundance of warmth and friendliness thrown in!
Headed up by Davy, our Director of Events (far left) we then have the lovely Steph, Melissa, Leah and William.
Your Event Manager will be the first face that you will see when you arrive at Rockbeare Manor. They will give you the warmest welome and instantly help you feel relaxed and excited about the day ahead.
They'll make sure that all your luggage, dresses and suits are safely moved into the Drawing Room, Bridal Suite, or Billiard Room; they'll guide you and your wedding party to where they need to be, and ensure that any decor that you have brought with you - heads in the right direction!
Your Event Manager will oversee every detail of your wedding day. From room set up, to the suppliers that arrive, seating arrangements to food and drink preperation. They'll place important items such as guest books and place cards, favours, menus or sentimantal details in the places that you have requested.
They will make sure that anyone helping with the set up of any element of the day, has everything that they need, knows their role and importantly completes it on time.
Think of them as the venue manager, wedding coordinator, catering manager (and Fairy God Mother) all rolled into one!
The morning of your wedding will fly by in a flash. It may feel like there is a lot to do in a relatively short amount of time and so that's why your Event Manager will be there at every stage to make sure that everything comes together in a calm and relaxed manner. Things will happen as if by magic!
They'll remind you what to do, and when, they'll come and help if there are any unforseen issues that arise, pin button holes and corsages for you, re-adjust veils or ties and assist you with any last minute preperations.
The wedding ceremony is one of the most important and special parts of the day. All the hard work and planning that you have done all culminates in this moment. It's a time full of happy emotions, when your nearest and dearest friends and family are by your side.
Your Event Manager will be there to guide every member of the bridal party to their pre-ceremony positions. From the bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents and other important guests. They'll help calm the pageboys and flowergirls if needed, be on hand with tissues, cue the music and make sure that everyone walks down the aisle, just at the right moment.
Your Event Manager will direct guests, coordinate your confetti throw, manage the timeline and ensure the perfect timing of your grand entrances! Whilst also making sure that you and your guests have a celebratory drink and delicious canapes to enjoy.
They will laise with all suppliers but particularly your photographer and videographer to make sure that timings stay on track according to the schedule of events and the Chef's expectations.
Managing the flow of events at all times is one of your Event Managers key roles. They will make sure that everything happens at the right time, such as seating the guests for the wedding breakfast, having a glass of fizz ready for each guest before speeches, gathering guests for the cake cutting and first dance, and making any announcements along the way if required.
As Event Managers, we are used to problem solving! If any issues arise, we will handle them quietly and efficiently, allowing the couple and their families to enjoy the day without stress.
Your Event Manager is by your side at every stage. Their ultimate goal is to make sure that your wedding day really is the best day of your life to date (no pressure!!) and believe us when we say that your Event Manager will move heaven and earth to make sure this is the case.
